COMM-TEC steps up presence in Austria

COMM-TEC GmbH, leading European distributor for AV media technology, acquired the Austrian distributor Kleinhappl Electronic, located in Salzburg, Austria. Kleinhappl has been supplying electricians and retailers with satellite TV systems and dishes, video surveillance and PA systems as well as AV media technology for conference rooms over the past 25 years.

Recently, COMM-TEC and Kleinhappl signed the acquisition agreement which makes Kleinhappl Electronic part of the COMM-TEC corporate group. With 25 years of success in business and a customer base of more than 1700 electricians and retailers, Kleinhappl has become a reputable family-owned business. The company is not only known for its broad product range but also for fast delivery, exceptional planning support and knowledgeable technical staff.

For many years, COMM-TEC has been successfully represented by local sales managers in Austria and steps up the presence with the new acquisition. In addition, Kleinhappl’s products perfectly add to COMM-TEC’s existing product range.

COMM-TEC appointed Alex Tempel the managing director of Kleinhappl. Alex Tempel has twenty plus years of experience in the industry and a proven track record of success in different positions within the COMM-TEC corporate group. For the last 12 years, Alex Tempel was the managing director of VIVATEQ, a subsidiary of COMM-TEC, leading the company to international success as a distributor for residential AV systems.

Wolfgang Lenz, founder and CEO of COMM-TEC:

„Kleinhappl is an established company with excellent reputation in the Austrian market. With the acquisition, COMM-TEC now has a direct presence in Austria, including local inventory and warehouse facility, along with local sales, technical support and planning teams. This is a key development to enable us to serve our customers more efficiently and effectively. It also is an important step to ensure our long-term success in the Austrian market.”
